  • Why Children? Because 22,000 children around the world will die today, most of them from poverty, hunger, and easily preventable diseases. Because Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew 25:40).

  • Turley is the rector of Tulsa's Church of the Holy Spirit Anglican, which left the Episcopal Church several years ago after the denomination consecrated an openly gay bishop. The creation of the conservative Anglican Church of North America was announced Wednesday in Wheaton, Ill. It will provide spiritual oversight to about 100,000 former Episcopalians in four dioceses and dozens of churches, including Turley's, that left the Episcopal Church after a decades-long struggle over the authority of scripture, ordination of gays and other issues. "It's a wonderful thing because we'll have more localized authority structure, and we won't be looking abroad," Turley said "I feel great about it. I've prayed for it to happen," said Cox, who is still recognized as an Anglican bishop in the province of the Southern Cone, which is based in Argentina

  • BREAD MINISTRY Every visitor to our Sunday worship services has the opportunity to receive a little surprise later in the day. Whenever visitors sign in our register with their street address, a member of our Bread Ministry drops over a loaf of freshly baked homemade bread to their home as a gift of friendship. CARD MINISTRY Little daily reminders of God's love can mean so much. Many of us have received a card during a hospital stay, after a funeral, in a time of crisis, or other times when we have needed a prayer, a hug, or a word of encouragement. CHRISTMAS IN JULY Why wait until Christmas to think about outreach? Each July, we focus on one or more of our existing Outreach ministries to help raise awareness of those ministries and their needs during the summertime. FOOD BASKET AND HOLIDAY BASKETS This ministry addresses the needs of our congregation as well as the stranger who comes to our church for assistance. We regularly donate items from the Food Pantry to various agencies that help the homeless, low income families, and victims of disaster.

  • Prayer Teams are asked to consider 2 scriptures: Ephesians I and Romans 8 which teach us that we have residing in us the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Now isn't that a powerful truth? We also know that each of us has been given a measure of God's faith. I cannot even imagine all the things that can occur if even our approx. 20 prayer team members appropriate these truths. We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and He hears our prayers. Too, as believers we walk in undeserved favor.

  • You may be wondering about our core theological convictions at Church of the Holy Spirit Anglican (CHSA). Perhaps ours may be best described as a “Three Streams, One River” church. More than half a century ago, missionary bishop to the Church in South India, Lesslie Newbigin, first articulated the “three streams” concept. He described the three streams as the Evangelical or Biblical, the Catholic, and the Pentecostal. These three great streams have flowed continuously throughout the history of the Church.
